Fitting cams to Suzuki GR 650 (Tempter).

On crank there are 4 marks 'R' 'T' and two lines | |.
The line | next to the 'T' mark is top dead center (TDC).
Line it up with mark in engine case, the 'timing mark'.
On picture shown with red 'A'.
(See picture 1)

Exhaust cam chain wheel has mark 1 lined with engine seal level, or slightly (1-2 mm.) under it.
Mark 2 on exhaust cam is uppermost (12:00 o'clock).

On inlet cam mark 3 at 12:00 o'clock, mark 2 lined with seal level.
Starting at mark 2, counting the pin directly above as pin 1, the 24th pin is at mark 3.
(See picture 2)

Keep crankshaft in correct position while fitting cam and chain.
After fitting exhaust cam, you may gently turn crankshaft to ease the tension from valve springs.
Take care not to let chain jump off from right position.

When both cams are fitted, turn chain tensioner so that its on its shortest position. It should lock, when it's turned all the way.
After fitting it, turn the screw a little, so it will loose.

Once all assembled and set double check by rotate motor by hand to check nothing goes crash bang boom.
